Yasser Arafat Museum Hosts Commemoration of The National Leader Khaled Al-Hassan February 13, 2022

Al-Muntada Hall at Yasser Arafat Museum hosted the birthday of the late national leader Khaled Al-Hassan, a member of the Executive Committees of the Liberation Organization and the Central Committee of the "Fatah" movement, on Sunday, February 13, 2022.


The event began with the Palestinian national anthem, then Mansour Tahboub, Deputy Director-General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, called for a minute of silence and reading Al-Fatiha for the soul of the martyr President Yasser Arafat and the soul of the great leader Khaled Al-Hassan and all the martyrs.
The Foundation then screened a film of its production entitled "The Philosopher of the Revolution", which tells a brief about the life of the late Khaled Al-Hassan and his contribution to the Palestinian national cause.


Dr. Ahmed Soboh, Director General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation said: This event comes within the “In The National Memory” new program, which sheds light on the comrades of the late President Yasser Arafat. Soboh recounted part of his observations of the leader Khaled Al-Hassan at different stages of his political and intellectual journey, pointing to his distinguished presence, and the sophistication of his speeches in all international forums.


Bakr Abu Bakr, the official in charge of intellectual mobilization in the "Fatah" movement, spoke about the intellectual achievements of the national leader Khaled al-Hassan, highlighting his books. In 2020, his book "Who Rules the Other... America or Israel" was republished, which simulates in its content references to somewhat is happening in the political present, and includes a prediction of political changes in the Arab world, indicating that the idea of reason has always been present in his writings.


Dr. Haitham Al-Hassan, son of the late, thanked  Yasser Arafat Foundation for this gesture, including it within the program "In The National Memory", and recalled some of his father's strong positions and phrases, the most prominent of which was "Politics is the art of honesty with the people and maneuvering with the enemy."


For his part, Abbas Zaki, a member of the Central Committee of  "Fatah" movement, concluded by saying: The history of the late leader Khaled al-Hassan carries within it immunity and national authenticity, in addition to his family's struggle history in the Liberation Organization and "Fatah" movement, stressing his great role through his credibility and responsibility in attracting trust those around him in "Fatah" movement and its goals.


He added: Khaled al-Hassan was an organizational school through his adherence to values, traditions, and patriotic education, based on meeting the needs of the public, and he was the one who used to say, "Strong organization creates strength in the weakest of hearts," noting that his idea called for evaluating each period, taking the positives from it and addressing the negatives.


Zaki continued: Al-Hassan was the owner of a fixed political strategy linked to a flexible, transitional thought without compromising the national constants, and he was genuinely affiliated with the Palestinian cause and had many positions at the political, intellectual, and organizational levels.


The event included a photo exhibition that summarized the stages of his life and the journey of his struggle alongside the late President Yasser Arafat.
