The central magazine of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the first edition was issued in Beirut on the 28th of June 1972, when the unified media department for the Palestinian national movement was formed to serve as a political, cultural, and news platform. Kamal Nasser was editor of the magazine from its establishment until his martyrdom on the 10th of April 1973.
During the 1970’s and 1980’s, the magazine was publicly distributed in a number of Arab and other countries and secretly distributed in the Occupied Palestinian Territories due to the Israeli occupation forces’ policy to arrest any Palestinian owning or carrying the magazine.
Following the withdrawal of the PLO and Palestinian resistance from Beirut in 1982, the headquarters of the magazine relocated to Nicosia, Cyprus. The final issue of Palestine Revolution was published on the 17th of July 1994.
