Former Prime Minister of Italy Massimo D'Alema visited Yasser Arafat Museum yesterday, during a working visit to meet with Palestinian officials.
Mohammad Halayka, Director of the Museum, accompanied Mr. D'Alema on a tour of the exhibits that narrate the story of Palestine, its people and national movement since the dawn of the 20th century, through the life and journey of Yasser Arafat.
D'Alema was Prime Minister of Italy from 1998 through 2000, and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 through 2008. He is one of the most important leaders of the social democratic movement in Italy.
