Martin Schulz, President of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and former President of the European Parliament, laid a wreath of flowers at the mausoleum of the late President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in honor of the Palestinian leader’s enduring legacy.

Schulz and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Mohammad Halaika, Director of the Yasser Arafat Museum, who saw the visit as a gesture of respect and solidarity with the Palestinian people and their historic struggle for freedom and self-determination.
