Amidst the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against our people on various fronts, especially in Gaza, and based on the recommendation of the Yasser Arafat Achievement Award Committee, the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation has decided, exceptionally for this year, not to proceed with the usual procedures for announcing the award.

 

It has also been decided to grant this year's award to Gaza: recognizing its resilience, support, and need for relief. The award committee will determine the mechanism for implementing this, details and updates will be announced later.

 

The Yasser Arafat Foundation directs most of its work towards the national effort aimed at stopping the aggression of the Israeli occupation and providing relief to our people in Gaza. Our people exercise their steadfast right to end the occupation, embody independence, and establish their Palestinian state on their national soil with its capital, Jerusalem, the holy city.
