Ammar’s Corner, Corner of the Palestinian Child Exhibition Opens at Yasser Arafat Museum (29/1/2020)

Ammar’s Corner, Corner of the Palestinian Child Exhibition officially opened in Exhibition Hall at Yasser Arafat Foundation on 28 January 2019 in the presence of Dr. Nasser Alkidwa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yasser Arafat Foundation and Ms. Intissar Al-Wazir (Um Jihad), Chair of the Museum Committee and board member of the Foundation. Ms. Amal Hamad, Minister for Women’s Affairs, Dr. Atef Abu Seif, Minister of Culture, and Dr. Basri Saleh, Deputy Minister- Ministry of Education and Higher Education, members of the Board of Yasser Arafat Foundation, and other political, cultural and media figures also attended the opening. 
The purpose of the exhibition is to enhance their knowledge of the Palestinian narrative through Abu Ammar’s journey in its different phases in a simple and enjoyable presentation. Interactive technology, including virtual reality headsets and access to the augmented reality application on smartphones are featured.
Children have always been a particular priority for the Museum, with special attention given to arrangements during their visits to the Museum, including storytelling performances and films at Al-Muntada Hall and presenting the exhibits in a brief and simplified manner by the tour guides.  Yasser Arafat Foundation also organizes the National Knowledge Competition for tenth-grade students based on the Museum’s material.  
Ammar’s Corner is the seventh special exhibition museum of the Yasser Arafat Museum that will remain on display through December 2020.
